interPoser Ltd: Features

  • Poser "Wavefront OBJ" still-image and animation file sequence importation. Now imports cameras and lights, including animated parameters!
  • DAZ|Studio "Wavefront OBJ" file importation. Material application from exported .mtl file.
  • Poser 6 zlib-compressed Wavefront object (.obz) support.
  • Still-image Poser Scene object(s) update.

  • interPoser Morph tag system for prop and prop hair morphs. A two-part tag system: iP Morph tags contain morph data and an iP Morph Mixer tag that collects these into a simple Attribute Manager interface for morphing and morph animation.

  • Poser material support:
    – Full Poser 4 material support.
    – Support for basic Poser 5 Shader Nodes (procedural shaders are proving difficult to support in Cinema 4D - this support will occur at a later time - sorry).
    – Support for Poser 5 Sub-polygon Displacement (Cinema 4D R9 and R10 only!).
    – Poser BUM maps converted into JPG bump (height) maps. Since it is impossible to tell when a BUM map is correct or inverted (the infamous Windows BUM map), you are prompted visually on whether to correct the BUM map during conversion. Caveat: As the conversion process utilizes an integration and simulated annealing, large BUM maps may require a minute or more to convert!
  • Global Material preferences that allow personal settings for Illumination Model, Specular Mode, Texture Image Sampling, along with others.

  • No modules required. No special objects created. interPoser Morph Tag system used for morphs.
  • Ability to merge Poser scene import with active document.

  • Scene objects grouped under Null object for easier merging of documents and as a quick method of applying materials to an entire Poser scene.
  • Automatically or interactively apply the corresponding Poser scene file to the exported Poser scene object files being imported.
  • Automatically or interactively copy referenced image map files from Poser to a Tex folder local to the exported Poser scene object file, reassigning Cinema 4D material references.

  • Scene Configuration dialog gives you full control of your Poser animation sequences, including:
    – Frame range as a subset of available frames.
    – Frame at which to insert into document.
    – Skip every Nth frame with the option to either place keys sequentially or space them over the set Frame Range.
    – Reverse key frames for backwards animation.
    – Set the FPS of the document.
    – Import any single frame from an animation sequence.

  • PathFinder texture image file resolver:
    – No more image map seek and find! The PathFinder search feature will find and correctly reference texture image files as long as they exist in the referenced Poser Runtimes or in the folder of the Poser scene being imported.
    – If the image file is not found, a requester will display so that you can select an alternative or skip the image file's use altogether.
    – If you select an alternate image, it will automatically be used in place of any other references to the same missing image.

  • Runtime List so that you can add all of your Poser Runtimes for Poser Scene application.
Enable/Disable use of any of the added Poser Runtimes with current Poser Scene import using checkboxes.
    – Multiple Runtimes can be added and referenced.
    Saved with Preferences.

  • Runtime Explorer gives you a hybrid Explorer|Poser-like interface for browsing and applying materials from Poser library files.
    – Apply Camera settings to imported Poser scene with cameras.
    – Apply Light settings to imported Poser scene - creates lights for lights not in scene.
    – Load Props/Hair Props fully textured, inter-parented, morphable, and animated.
    – Thumbnail display supports PNG, PCT, RSR, and Mac resources.
    – Multiple Runtimes can be added and referenced.
    – German, French, and Spanish Poser Runtime folder name support.
    – Saved with Preferences.

  • Multiple stored Preferences for controlling interPoser and maintaining references to your Poser Runtimes.
  • Supports Cinema 4D's Undo/Redo facilities.
  • Dockable and restorable dialog so that interPoser can always be available for use.
  • Cinema 4D language support for the following:
    – English
    – German
    – French
    – Spanish
  • Full documentation in English, German, and French. Spanish and Italian documentation will be downloadable when ready.
  • Online support forum
